The National Moment of Remembrance
Congress directed that the Commission encourage every American to observe The National Moment of Remembrance, a tribute to our fallen and their survivors. Each Memorial Day, at 3 p.m. local time, all are asked to spend a moment in reflection and remembrance.
Patriots Patrol
Involves elementary school students/ children in putting patriotism into action! Helping them connect as Americans, they can learn about patriotism and the sacrifices made for their freedom, building on the idea that in working together we can make our country stronger and better.
Operation US To YOU
Initiated and developed by The White House Commission on Remembrance, Operation US to YOU develops special projects and events throughout the year to boost our troops morale by sending them a touch of home with humor wherever they are.
Task Force Calendar
The inaugural event of an annual tribute to our deployed troops throughout the world, and to children who lost a loved one in service to our country or by an act of terrorism. As a daily reminder that they have not been forgotten, The White House Commission on Remembrance provides gifts of poster-sized calendars featuring famous cartoonists who create a new, limited edition cartoon each year.
Task Force Snoopy
Launched in December 2002, Snoopy out does flat Stanley and goes where our fighting men and women do! Snoopy, the Flying Ace has been on station with the USS Roosevelt, USS Constellation and will soon be on duty with military units worldwide.

Special cartoon drawn by “Family Circus” creator Bil Keane, with a message of thanks to our troops from the children they protect, distributed in the form of stickers.
Operation Dear Abby
